Picture Schedule for Feb 19th and 20th

All pictures will be taken in the Dance Studio. Please bring all costumes, but wear your favorite one there! You may do your hair and make-up anyway you want for pictures! Please be on time! And come even if you are not purchasing them so that your daughter can be in the group photo and to get a picture for the slide show!
Costumes will be handed out next week to all those who have paid for them!

Dear Parents…….PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY AND THEN MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!!

REVIEW
The review will be held on April 17th at Mountain Crest Auditorium. …Look on following pages for your time!…...I know this might hit one week into soccer, but please remember that your daughter has been working all year for this night…so it is very important that she comes to every practice the week of the review…every year someone thinks they can miss one of these practices and every year that girl usually makes extra mistakes at the review….please be to all practices the week of the review!

REVIEW FEE
Will be due the last week in March, along with April’s Tuition! The fee this year has increased for 2 reasons. First, Logan High’s fee increase so much that I had to change schools, and MC was more than Logan’s past fees, second, the extra practices that we normal have at USU (that we have not been paying building fees for) are no longer an option…so we will be having the extra/odd practices at Thomas Edison South, and even though the fees are small they do add up!
LOOK FOR FEE SCHEDULE ON THE FOLLOWING PAGES, they change per class.

SHOES AND COSTUMES
Costume fees are due the first week in Feb, and again are listed by class on the following page.
Remember all payments must be made for your daughter to receive her costume, which she will need for pictures at the end of the month. NO ONE WILL BE REQUIRED TO BUY SHOES THIS YEAR…..it is becoming more and more common for dancers not to wear shoes…(I didn’t always wear them years ago when I competed) and for the level the girls are dancing at they are not required! Also, the costume will still look good without them….I have also made this decision because of cost…the costumes have gone up a little this year- even though we have spent hours and hours searching for the best deals they are just not quite as good as in the past and I also had to raise the review fee this year….so no shoes required because again they are not needed, and this will save money for this year….we will see what next year brings!-----IF you really want dance shoes for your daughter, you will need to purchase them at the following place, and only get the colors listed below- they are skin colored ballets so that it will not show as much that your daughter has shoes on---again, this is your choice, not required!
(NO BLACK OR PINK ballet will be allowed when everyone else will be in no shoes)

For adult sizes (down to larger children sizes) you may order the Pro Elastic Ballet Slipper in Flesh color #s0621
The oldest classes WED 3:00 and 4:00 may get a Lyrical Sandal #b10.…for their age is would be benifical to their turns, but again not required!- I would suggest asking others in class if anyone is ordering to save on shipping costs!

Practices for the rest of the year!
From this point on it is importrant that the girls attend all practices they possibly can!…They are only a few weeks from the review and are learning a lot each week, so please try to arrange to have your daughter there!

Parents Day
There will be few chairs set up for parents day from here on out…so we can use every inch of space for getting ready for the review…your welcome to still come, but you might end up on the stairs!

Pictures
Pictures are still scheduled for the 19th and 20th of Feb…the time schedule and payment will be handed out next week!
Payments for the rest of the year!
A paper with all your past payments the payments for the rest of the year will be handed out next week, please check it for past payments, and keep future ones in mind, and when they are due!

April Tuition
We will end up with 3 practices in April, one will be the make up practice from earlier this year and the other two will count as half a month, so April Tuition will be $9 plus your review fee (again check the following papers by class)….
This will be due the week of March 29th - April 2nd

October Updates!

Hey Dancers and Tumblers,
We are about a month in and having fun!...We do have classes over UEA so come if your here!...(We don't get any breaks until Thanksgiving!)

Remember parents, costume fees of $20 and Tuition are due next week!

Also a few things sent out on a note this month!

Remember Parent day is the first lesson of every month...please try to only stay through class on Parent Day...this really reduces distraction in class to one day!

Everyone needs to walk their daughter across the street or park on the same side of the dance studio...neighbors have had girls run out in front of them!

To help with congestion all after-school classes are only 55 MINUTES...(except my 2 older class are 90min.)....Please come on time to drop off and pick up your daughters!- This greatly reduces the number of cars out front!

Next, if your daughter has a rash on her legs, arms or feet...please cover them at class....we sanitize weekly, but can't in between classes because it would leave the floor wet!

Finally, please kept your child home if they are sick! - Lets not end up on the news from having to close for a week because of the flu!

Hey Dancers and Tumblers,

We start in just under two weeks!

WOW- Where did the summer go?

Everything beginnings the first week in September!

Check your emails to comfirm your day and time of classes!

Parents, please don't forget to bring registration fees if you have not paid them yet, and also the first months tuition. We will also have paper work to fill out- you are welcome to stay and fill it out, that way you do not have to remember to send it back!

NEW TUMBLING CLASSES!

Since we will be in our studio the beginning of next year (as long at remodeling stays on schedule!) We will be adding a couple of tumbling classes for the younger girls! Check out the descriptions below and call or email if you are interested!

THESE CLASSES WILL BE VERY LIMITED FOR THIS YEAR!

ONLY 3-5 classes will be taught with a limit of 8 per class!

Begining Tumbling ages 3-5

Learn basics of tumbling-handstands, backbends, somersaults, balance, etc.

45 minute class, once a week, $25

Beginning Tumbling ages 5-8

Learn basics of tumbling- handstands, backbends, somersaults, balance, splits, etc.

45 minute class, once a week, $25

Intermediate Tumbling ages 5-8

Learn the intermediated levels of tumbling - cartwheels, round-offs,

back-walk-overs, splits, leaps, etc.

MUST be able to perform backbends, somersaults, handstands, and attempted cartwheels.

45 minute class, once a week, $25

OLDER CLASSES for beginning and intermediate will be offered

upon request, and with enough to fill a class!

We are now registering for the 2009-10 dance year! As always space is

limited and we have been full every year for the last 3 years so sign up early!

Classes are for ages 3 to 15.

Class sizes are limited to 8 a class.

Tuition will stay $18 a month per student.

Class runs 45-60 minutes a class depending on age.

Hi, welcome to my Dance Studio. I am Marianne and would like to take a moment and introduce myself. I have been teaching dance for 19 years. I have taught High School Teams, Completion Teams, and now just for me and my family. I have decided this area needs an affordable, modest, clean dance studio. I have a little girl and know how exciting dance can be for them, but scary for parents! Rest easy, my costumes are modest DANCE costumes and the dances are age appropriate. And most of all your children can learn a talent in a fun, non-competitive environment! Come join us today!
